I started using social media when I was in elementary school. At that time, my friends introduced me to QQ, an online chat tool, to stay in touch with them easily. It allowed me to connect with my friends conveniently and even make new friends online. I found it fascinating to interact with others through this platform and explore the possibilities of connecting with people beyond my immediate surroundings. Social media opened up a new world of communication and socialization for me, and I embraced it with curiosity and excitement.

It depends on the age of my friends. On one hand, most of my younger friends use social media extensively. They are accustomed to using platforms like social media to gather and share information, as well as to connect with their friends. It has become an integral part of their daily lives. On the other hand, if we consider older friends, such as elders or relatives, they tend to prefer traditional forms of communication like phone calls and text messages. They may not be as inclined to use social media due to their familiarity with more conventional means of staying in touch.

No, I don't think I spend too much time on social media. On an average day, I only dedicate less than an hour to social media. I prefer spending my time reading books rather than on social media. I believe that there is a lot of information on social media that is difficult to discern between what is true and what is not, which can lead to anxiety. Therefore, I choose not to invest too much time in browsing social media platforms. I find more value and enjoyment in immersing myself in the world of books and acquiring knowledge through reading.

People can connect with others who share similar interests or join communities of like-minded individuals. For instance, in China, there is a popular trend of live streaming for selling products. Hosts recommend affordable items to viewers, creating a convenient shopping experience. Overall, social media offers a diverse range of activities, from staying informed to learning and connecting with others.
